Thanks for the interesting presentation. Is there any work done regarding prognosis, i.e recurrence
Hi. Can I have a WhatsApp call conversation with you doctor?
What happens if the SFJ is incompetent and GSV is dilated 1cm, will it reduce in size,?i feel it will only get thrombosed
I agree that thrombosis is a concern. I will put your question to Claude Franceshci. Thank you for your feedback
I have been having this ulcer for about three years now it goes an come after some time
Great information
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for your feedback
i got tingling in my hands and toes I been to a doctor for a blood test
Im just a patient with spider veins in the USA. I've had multiple vein treatments over the years, none using a foreign material such as foam or glue. The best results I've ever had were from an elderly doctor who is unfortunately retired now. He did everything old school - no ultrsound, just a needle and saline. He was excellent and so were the results.
Thank you for sharing your experiences
I have same problem that seen on his leg . Can i prevent it from exercise or need surgery
Inflammation is believed to cause cvd
Just a stupid question from me😁: Is it possible to "DIY" on small visible veins that is easily reachable (i.e. front of your tighs or the side or front of your own legs⁉️🤔
Possible? Yes. Recommended? No. BTW, not a stupid question.
I wish you have informed too how to treat phlebitis
Thank you for your feedback. I will put that on the list for a future video.
Extremely useful❤
Glad you think so! Thank you for your feedback.
How many glue cases does Dr. Campbell perform in one year?
Great question! I wish I had asked him.
I find it very useful even though I am not a vascular but a GI surgeon
Thank you for sharing that.
Thank you very much. God bless you.
Thank you too
@@VeinCareAcademy You are welcome.
@@VeinCareAcademy Thank you very much.
I have same issues here for 7years now
Sorry to hear that
In 2024, we have proven, safe and effective treatment for leg ulcers. I am very sorry to hear that you have had problems for 7 years. Where do you live?
May I ask, considering the risks of sclerotherapy, why not go for laser like for eg Excel V?
Laser is a good treatment. It cannot treat all veins in the leg. In some situations, sclerotherapy is the preferred/only option
How to mix sclerosant with air..., in what ratio...., please
The method is described in this video ruclips.net/video/IianVNyJRZk/видео.html
Will a heat lamp work for healing these? I have poor circulation in my left leg especially because of a DVT blood clot, but the wounds I’ve had such as minor cuts and bruises just never healed it’s probably been 10 years now and my doctor says to wear compression stockings. Compression socks are expensive (I was fitted for custom stockings) and way too hot in the summer. I was on Medicaid at that time so they were willing to eat the cost of a single pair. I believe they were made from nylon and they don’t let fresh air in. I live in the south and it’s too hot right now for those stockings. Mine are mostly about 1/8” in diameter but there’s clusters of them. About the size of a baseball.
I do not advise a heat lamp. Where do you live?
just had a microphlebectomy. i dont feel all were cut out. will the once left behind fade or disappear? had ablation of gsv 3 weeks prior. I dont want foam follow ups.
Too early to say. Speak to your specialist. I am curious why you don't want foam.
@@VeinCareAcademy essentially glueing the vein shut does not sound good to me. I have a friend WHO’s wife gets them done and always seems to have to go back for touch ups in a few years. I would rather them removed. Will my remaining vein disappear over time??
Varicose Veins, reflux, spider veins and all leg vein conditions are life-long and chronic. You might think that vein removal would be the answer, but it is not. More and more specialists now are treating leg veins with sclerotherapy. In the same way that people see a dentist regularly and are not suprised if treatment is required over time, so too, people may need to see their phlebologist -vein doc - and get treatment from time to time.
Great info . I'm dealingwith ulcer around ankle .in unna boot for 3 weeks waiting on foam our ablation .been standing on concrete for 45years.inherited varicose veins from my dad.had ablation ten years ago. Don't know what they want to do just yet I'm thinking ablation versus foam .foam sounds very risky .
Sorry to hear that you have an ulcer. If done by a Foam Sclerotherapy Expert, Foam is safe and effective. Where are you located?
Thank you for your feedback
Great video and explanation, I will adjust my practice to perform this technique. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you Doc for your Godly guidance Be well.
So nice of you
Good afternoon everyone Please 🙏🏿 DVT operation reply me from India 🇮🇳
I am sorry, I can't help with this question
Great advice Haroun!
Thank you for your positive feedback!
Good work pal
Thanks 👍
It is inflammation. Inflammation is required for sclerosis.
@malaypatelindia totally agree 👍
I am 56 and experiencing these very things.
Sorry to hear that.
Hello want to talk to you doc Can i have your number plse?
How much times taking in recovery of leg eczema sir pl.inform me.Also state that is it serious or normal.
After effective treatment, the eczema will improve over the course of a few weeks
Excellent interview as usual. Thank you for the hard work you put in to make this happen.
Thank you for your kind feedback. I hope to interview more experts for their opinions.
78 or 80 is high heart rate?
Yes, it is high. I was nervous 😓
Are there any clinicians that you have worked with and would recommend in the New York area for ankle spider veins?
Thank you for reaching out. I don't have a contact in NY. However, may I suggest my colleague Dr Chris Pittman. www.youtube.com/@Vein911 He is based in Florida but he is extremely well connected with vein specialists in the USA. He may know someone who can help you. Good luck.
Thank you so much for these information, i am learning about this condition to help my mom with it
Glad it was helpful!
There’s a lot of lies about everything in the fast food health care system.
Agree
Very useful; I also noticed that step 1after cannulation and elevation is flushing the vein with several ml of saline to displace the blood before the foam is deposited. These are pearls worthy of incorporation into every successful practice.
Thank you for your feedback 😊
Thank you a lot Dr Gajraj. I am 100% agree with Dr Roche. By the way Dr Haroun, maybe in the future, can you have an extended revision of physics and molecular aspects of FOAM? Thanks again. Kind regards, Fernando Monroy desde Colombia.
Thank you for your feedback Fernando Monroy. Yes, I will look into that suggestion, thank you.
i approve of this video
Thank you for your positive feedback.
I have internal piles that Dr told to use sclerotherapy to piles there is any use by this.....? Any side effects by this....???
Speak to your Dr please.
I don’t like glue in my veins. I am sure it’s easier for the doctor.
I think you might be right.
Great video. I agree that having mult tools in the belt is absolutely necessary. UGFS is THE most versatile tool we have as vein specialists to address the broadest amount of vein issues and concerns... from cosmetic to medical.
Thank you for your comments. We are in complete agreement.
Thank you so much. It’s very useful. Thank you for sharing this information. I noted the glass syringe with foam. I agree. The glass syringe has not silicone and the foam is more stable and easy to inject. Thank you again. Greetings from Colombia.
I love watching your videos I am very experienced phlebologist and enjoy your presentation and your guests discussion is like attending a conference on you tube channel. Thanks again Adel from Sydney
Thank you Adel for your kind comment and encouragement.
Thank you for your kind feedback. Yes, you are right. Enric is a great advocate of glass syringes.
What is the treatment after this scan?
This person had endothermal ablation and phlebectomy.
I’ve had the vein laser however my ulcer came back twice as bad. Does that mean I have to keep getting laser
I am sorry to hear that. I suggest that you request an ultrasound scan for residual or recurrent reflux. Then perhaps Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy may be the next step. Please let me know what happens next. Kind Regards, Dr Haroun Gajraj

My dad is suffering from leg ulcer, and it's terrible
I am sorry to hear that
My dad is in same place and I'm trying to find the way to help him from his pain. It's so hard to see our parents in pain .
Thank you for this interview. The part about not being able to do TRLOP and other “advanced” techniques, without a vascular tecnician is simply not true - I do it all the time with great success. Seing Whiteley cannulating a perforator with another person holding the ultrasound, is a sign of poor technique to me - respectfully. I can see to the financial incentives of doing your own scan, but this is not eliminated In Whiteleys case. His approach involves incentives too. I admire Whiteley In many ways, but do not agree here. Also, I miss a discussion about “Value for money”. Patients/costumers might be better of with say an 80% treatment, to 50% of the cost - this is an honest choice. Regarding low recurrence, first of all this is a question of definition. His Numbers do not include progression of disease which is unavoidable. In reality a lot more than 3% of patients need further treatments later. And then there is the question of PRO’s which these numbers do not say anything about.
You have raised some very important points. I don't disagree. There is a lively discussion about this on LinkedIn www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7219934707860291584/
@@VeinCareAcademy yes I have seen, thank you 🙏
Not true - our 3.3% recurrence is virtually all disease progression! It is because using The Whiteley Protocol we get rid of ALL venous reflux and stasis - hence the very low recurrence is due almost totally to disease progression. If you think you can do TRLOP by yourself then please published your audited 5 year outcomes as we have: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19299275/
thank you
You're welcome
I first got this after hip replacement surgery 4 years ago and it appeared to clear up? Then after a second hip replacement it has returned. Does surgery cause/irritate this condition? My GP doesn't seem concerned.
Yes, it can. Have you consulted a dermatologist?
@@VeinCareAcademy Thank you for responding. Yes, initially 4 years ago, he prescribed strong steroid cream. Unless I go private there is no chance of seeing a dermatologist so I am resigned to fate. Again thanks for taking the time.
